It's the best purchase I ever made, I will definitely do it again.

Everything described concerns the connection with the D800. Situation: the focus sensor confirms that the lens has hit, but in reality the RIP goes to the front (sometimes to the back). May miss focusing in difficult lighting (for example, incandescent lamps + orange wallpaper) as well as on objects that he does not like (not very contrasting against the background with the same color (white rosette on a white wall) or glare) - try to focus along the line passing near the object, i. E. so that the sensor is half on the object, half on the neighboring object (half on the socket, half on the wall), focus on the face of a person in difficult lighting conditions - focus on the face so that part of the sensor goes beyond the face. Keep in mind that the size of the sensor is larger than the size of the square in the viewfinder. In general, my number of misses has decreased by this technique, by this lens. But in principle, in most cases, after flashing in the service, he rarely missed. It also hits in the dark, even without AF illumination on the camera, in the dark, it almost never misses me at all. And of course, choose a copy, I chose from two, the first steadily went to the front, the second hit exactly, but with the jambs described above, but almost corrected by the Adjustment Master. That's all for now, if I remember something I'll add it. I will be glad if someone can help.

Pros
  • 1. With proper adjustment, if you hit it exactly - sharp to the point of stupor from 1.4 to 36mp (D800), sharper than Canon 35L (used), sharper than Nikon 35 / 1.4G (tried), at the edges of the frame it also surpasses them with an open one. 2. It is also lighter by itself (T-stop = 1.5 by DxO, you can check for yourself) 3. The design is super, it looks like a Zeiss. 4. aberrations are hardly noticeable even in the open 5. The color is not worse than the original glasses 6. Distortion is imperceptible
Cons
  • 1. There are AF misses, see comment., 2. there are bulbs in circles of blur (not annoying), 3. the focus ring is tight, the stroke is small 4. A little more vignetting compared to K and H (not critical, easy to correct)
