Review on πŸ”₯ Enhancing SDR Performance: Introducing Flamingo AM Notch Filter for Broadcast AM Bandstop Applications by Jeffrey Sanders

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Disappointing - unmarked AM and FM in/out are identical (I ordered both)

. and FM are identical (I ordered both). I've read good reviews and user reviews about sdr-rtl, but haven't come across it myself. Thank goodness I noticed my AM and FM filters looked identical and labeled them myself. If I'm lucky or hear from a distributor I'll update this - until then.

Pros
  • The Flamingo AM was designed to provide approximately 40dB of attenuation for AM broadcast frequencies while ensuring minimal impact on adjacent bands. The -3 dB filter rolloff is 350 kHz and 1900 kHz. Minimal out-of-band insertion loss means the filter can stay in place for almost any application, although we recommend removing the Flamingo AM from the signal chain when RF frequencies are not being received.
Cons
  • boring packaging
