I've owned for 2 years. I thought long and hard about getting this one or the Audio Technica that people love and I made my decision and I have no regrets. I know Bose has a bad reputation for sound quality in this price range. But I don't care - the pros outweigh the few cons. These are headphones for people who prefer comfort. Audio Technicas (MH50 or similar) have a reputation for being very uncomfortable for long periods of time. + These headphones are extremely comfortable. Also very easy. I could wear it for 6 hours without wanting to take it off. I've had V-Moda in the past and those things put a lot of pressure on my head. The leather pads are comfortable - you'll hardly notice you're wearing them. + Very stylish and unobtrusive. Black goes well with a suit or any formal attire, especially when traveling for work or a business trip. They look really great, the polar opposite of the Dre Beats in terms of headphone aesthetic. + Durable despite low weight. I've been wearing these pieces for a long time and they are holding up very well. Looks like new apart from a few small scratches only visible up close (it's plastic so that's to be expected). + Comes with a lightweight leather case. + The sound quality is better than the Apple Earpods, which I like. So that's enough for me. Audiophiles have given rave reviews for the V-Moda, which I've had; they sound a little better, but I don't really care about the small difference in sound. A few cons in my opinion: - I don't like the red pattern in the cups. If they were black, these headphones would be visually perfect. The cable is driving me insane. It literally sticks to anything and is easy to refuel. It's also quite long. But I'm assuming it's a regular Bose cable. It also has a proprietary connector, so you can buy a replacement from Bose for just $30. After 1.6 years of use, the cable at the entrance of the phone broke. They do have a good volume control and microphone though. They have fairly low treble and the bass can be a bit overwhelming. All in all, these are the most comfortable headphones I've ever owned. If you need good headphones that you can wear at your desk for a long period of time, you've come to the right place; You can wear them all day, every day. If you need something for your commute or trip, these will fit as they are stylish and lightweight. Comfort is the most important thing in my opinion which is why I bought them.
