Bright Thin Base Light Bulbs

Update: 2 of the 3 I installed have blown after 9 months. I installed it in a ceiling dome and used it for about 8 hours a day - that's about 2000 hours in total. They flickered intermittently for several months before blowing out. I'm sure they got hot, but the box said "hull class". What's really weird is that they blew out within 20 days and when I went to replace them they had a terrible smell. I bought 4 packs of 100W dimmable LED bulbs (temperature 5000K). They are very light and white. I like white, it doesn't seem blue to me, just "fresh". I've only had it for a week, but not on the dimmer yet. But I have a problem installing them. I'm 56 and have installed a lot of lightbulbs. Some sockets are harder to screw in than others, but I never had a problem until these bulbs came out. I managed to twist one of these lamps and it completely deformed the filament. You can see what happened in the picture. Now that lightbulbs don't need to be hermetically sealed anymore I think they've started to save on materials and I think the base of these lightbulbs is very thin. Be careful when installing them.
