Revainrating 5 out of 5

What a great system for the money!

I've had this camera for 5 months now and wanted to write a review but kept getting distracted by other things. So better late than never. The NVR is an eight-channel system and comes with four cameras. This leaves room for four more cameras in the future. The cameras have a resolution of 1080P and deliver a great and clear picture when recording. It's one of the few systems that offers an all-in-one design. Connecting the monitor to the NVR ensures a clean installation. The NVR can be placed anywhere in the house and looks good. Each camera has a warning siren and spotlight that you can use. I prefer not to trigger alarms when I'm moving (cats activate them), but when the system is on I don't want to get notifications. The camera headlight works as it should. When I leave the house and walk to the driveway, the headlights come on and follow me down the path. A neighbor noticed this and commented on how nice it must be to have this moving lights setup. He didn't even know they were security cameras with searchlights and I didn't tell him anything else. Black and white HD night vision is really sharp and daytime HD color images are fantastic. Motion detection is easy to set up and notifications arrive quickly on our phones. The camera system was easy to set up. Turn on the NVR, start turning on the cameras, and since each camera was already paired to the NVR, I immediately started viewing the video. First I set up everything in the house so that the NVR and camera are convenient to make changes. I experimented with several proposed options and finally decided how they would be installed outside. The cameras were installed quickly, dowels and screws were included with each camera. When I ordered the system, I also ordered a couple of power strips because a couple of cameras didn't need to be close to an outlet. I already had the app running on my phone when playing with the cameras around the house, so I was able to control them on my phone as we installed each one, telling me exactly where to point and point them. I made a list of professionals. and cons to try to fully cover all aspects. I hope this helps someone make an informed camera decision and I think Yeskamo should be seriously considered. Advantages: 1. Easy and quick setup. Any question I had about using the NVR software was answered the next day. I asked them multiple questions at once as I was browsing the menu and I had large emails full of questions that I sent and they always sent me a quick response and responded to every item on my list. I am very satisfied with the service received and I give it the highest rating.2. The cameras have metal housings instead of plastic housings. It feels like a well designed and made product. Lately we are over 90 days now and we have had winter frosts earlier. These cameras worked flawlessly and didn't miss a single step.3. Fast notifications on our phones. Notifications appear on any of our phones within seconds. I know this is a problem with many other brands. Poor or no warnings from others, but we had good reliable warnings from Yeskamo. I set up camera alerts with a custom notification ringtone so we know when an alert comes from our security system so it doesn't get ignored like many other alerts. 4. The PC software for WIN 10 is installed perfectly and works well with the DVR. Note that this system does not require an internet connection to work. An internet connection is only required for remote monitoring. We set it up and appreciate it so we can have a peek at our home anytime, anywhere (as long as we have an internet connection). In any case, the NVR stores everything so we can view it locally when we get home. Before purchasing I contacted Yeskamo to send me the manuals and specs so I could review the documentation provided. They responded to my email within a day and immediately sent the requested documents. I felt it was very respectful of Eskamo. They offered to help me with any additional information I needed or any questions I might have before purchasing. If I could rate their customer support myself it would have to be 10 out of 10. They were there to answer my questions before and after purchasing their product. I had no experience with security cameras, so I asked about every little thing I didn't know (which was a lot), but everything was answered simply. Examples have been sent many times to better explain the options/settings I asked for.7. The included 2TB hard drive records all 4 cameras 24/7 for about 50 days. Enough time to go back and review an event in the past. We've done this too many times to mention.8. In a typical configuration, each camera connects directly to the NVR. In some cases, the camera may be too far away to connect directly to the NVR, so it can connect to Yeskamo via a camera that has a good reverse connection to the NVR. I didn't have to use that; All my cameras have good signal strength for the NVR. Just wanted to mention this in case others have trouble with a camera or two. Yeskamo also broadcasts a powerful antenna for use on the camera instead of the one on the camera. This allows you to mount the antenna away from the camera. I didn't need it either, but I'm sure a lot of people will appreciate having it in the kit. Cons: 1. Okay, I had a problem with the camera. If the IR light on the camera didn't turn on when the camera switched to night mode. I contacted support and the camera was immediately sent as a replacement. Yeskamo's support is in China, but they have a warehouse in California where the cameras are kept. So the replacement camera was shipped priority from California and I received it in about two days. Trust me, when you have a glitch in your security system, you need a company that can respond quickly to fix it.2. The speaker/microphone works best when another person is in close proximity to the camera, otherwise don't plan on using it for communication. This isn't a problem for me as my cameras are quite far from the entrance they're watching, so two-way communication doesn't work. The connections are located on the bottom of the DVR and are therefore not easy to access. For the USB port I use to connect the drive to store video clips, I added a small 4-port USB breakout box ($3). That way I can leave it plugged into the NVR's USB port all the time, and when I need to connect a drive to backup/save files, I just plug it into the USB connector instead of trying to USB of the NVR to access port below. . In addition, the HDMI connection is very tight on the underside. I am using the NVR's HDMI output to display on a large TV screen next to the NVR. The connector and sleeve on my HDMI cable were too long to bend to fit under the NVR without effort, so I purchased a pair of rectangular HDMI connectors (approx. provided. Now my HDMI cable is no hassle installed on it or on the HDMI port of the DVR Overall: This was a learning curve for me and I can say I understand the system setup much better than I ever thought Yeskamo has been my partner in this journey and I am very grateful to them for their help and support. One more thing, a little careful planning beforehand will save you a lot of trouble later. I had messed mine up so much I just started over. But the second time around I had a better plan and knew I could wanted to make it better than the first time. There is a factory reset, but use it wisely.
