Review on πŸ“± Enhanced Black ZAGG Folio Case with Backlit Bluetooth Keyboard for 1st Generation Apple iPad Mini by Rich Montgomery

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm hard to please and this iPad mini case is the absolute winner

I've had this case for a few weeks now after researching almost every iPad mini case I could find on the market. That's why I chose the ZaggKey Folio if you're like me and need to make sure before you buy. I went for a mini version of the iPad case, but I think they make one for the larger iPad as well. I'm a touch typist and I appreciate the ZaggKeys Folio keyboard, which is quite large. Compared to almost every other iPad mini case on the market (except for the ZaggKeys case with the same keyboard), the ZaggKeys keyboard is one of the largest and most comfortable. It also includes a set of native iPad function keys like Home, Lock, Volume and other function keys. I like the overall size and form factor of the caseless iPad and wanted to keep as many features as possible. this feeling in the case as much as possible. The ZaggKeys Folio is thin and light without being bulky. Some iPad cases use a flap or stand to hold the iPad upright, limiting the range of viewing angles available. The ZaggKeys Folio holds the iPad like a laptop, allowing the screen to slide back and forth. It also has no problem keeping the screen in place as the hinge is very solid. Just yesterday I was working on my iPad in a room where the light coming from behind was causing glare that was quickly eliminated by tilting the screen slightly. The iPad mini snaps into the ZaggKeys Folio, allowing the keyboard to fold onto the iPad screen. , while the case protects the back of your iPad from scratches and bumps. It is ABSOLUTELY IMPORTANT to me that the case protects the back of the iPad. As a side note, the ZaggKeys Cover is also a great cover, but it doesn't protect the back of the iPad. Otherwise the cases are basically the same. One feature that didn't seem essential at first but is now VERY appreciated is the ZaggKeys Folio backlit keyboard. Using the keyboard case in bed, in a dark room, or being able to work on an airplane is convenient and convenient. It has three levels of brightness, as well as a fairly wide range of different backlight colors. The battery life of this keyboard is pretty insane. If used for several hours a day (not counting the power consumption of the backlit keys), it should last for months, and even with the backlit keyboard the battery lasts for weeks. It also has a battery indicator so you can be sure of its charge level, and the battery has no 'memory' (which means you can charge it if the battery is already partially charged and that won't affect the long-term life of the battery impaired). Another nice feature is that the keyboard goes to sleep if it hasn't been used for a while, but wakes up immediately as soon as you use it again. This case is designed to hold the iPad in landscape (horizontal) orientation. I don't often need my iPad in portrait mode, but if I just hold the case sideways, everything works fine. The iPad can also be removed from the case quickly and easily for use in portrait mode (e.g. for reading). Selection.
