Quality and size for everyday backpacking

I used to buy the 46L because I'm a pack rat but then I realized it might be a bit big considering I don't use it that long or that often traveling so I shrunk to Porter 30. I'm not that strong and I'm 5ft 1in, 120lbs; There is a limit to what I can carry on my back. I love the design of this bag and the quality of the material is amazing. The handles are nice and strong and the shoulder straps are very comfortable. I know it won't feel like a comfortable travel backpack, but it's still pretty handy just for carry-on and a holdall. It fits my laptop (15 inch) which was a MUST as I always do my homework. I like the straitjacket design on the front; When the bag is not full, you can simply tighten it to flatten the bag. It's also good if you want to hide the zippers if they're on the back. Haven't tested packing this yet, but I'll be getting packing cubes soon, so maybe I'll update that to see how much I can cram in; From what I can see there is a good amount of luggage/cave in the back which looks like it will hold more than I think, especially knowing there are straps to compress the load. In general, I'm in love with her!
