Having a stylus with a replaceable tip is great. I was so excited when I got my amPen hybrid pen that I spent the first few days transferring lots of handwritten notes from paper to my favorite note-taking app, Notes Plus. I had a bit of a squeaking issue for the first few days, but that was before I realized I needed to make sure my iPad's screen was as clear as possible to reduce the squeaks. Because I made it squeak so much for the first few days, I rubbed the mesh on my original tip and the underlying rubber was exposed. Since I ordered the replacement nibs at the same time as the stylus, I just swapped them out, cleaned the iPad screen and haven't had any issues since. It's amazing to have extra tips on hand as it's a lot cheaper than buying a new pen every time I need a new one.
