I replaced my computer's M2 boot disk with a larger one. My options were to clone or attach the boot (C) drive to another drive on my computer, then install a new larger M2 drive into the single M2 slot and clone the clone to the new drive. OR. Just buy this adapter, put it on my new M2 hard drive and plug it into the open PCIe slot, clone to the new hard drive, then replace the old M2 with the new cloned M2. I did the latter and it worked like a charm. The adapter fits into an M2 drive, which you can then plug into an available PCIe slot on your computer. You can use it like me to clone boot drive on computer with only 1 M2 slot. Or use it to add a fast M2 drive to your computer even if you don't have an M2 slot. Bottom line, it works fine. Ease of installation. Doesn't cost much. It cost $14 to make it easy to clone my C drive. It's on the shelf now as I don't need it anymore. Maybe I will need it in the future.
