Excellent Wireless Surveillance System

I had "4 960P Cameras + 8CH 960P NVR (No HDD)” for about a week. So far, so good. My experience is the following: 1. Good price.2. Very quiet DVR. I hear almost no noise from the NVR in each room. I think it's because the NVR doesn't have a fan - I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.3. Good video quality day and night.4. Setup is easy. The cameras were already connected to the NVR as soon as I received it.5. A solid app for remote viewing on mobile devices, although the UI could be better (see below).6. Excellent customer service - Daisy helped me with some issues over the phone (see below). She even called me back and left a few voicemails to make sure I was happy. Thanks very much! Now for areas that could be improved: A. Requires 3.5 inch hard drives. I bought the dash cam without a hard drive because I have a spare 2.5" 1T hard drive from my old laptop - it saves me about $50. After opening the dash cam to install the hard drive, I found that the 4 pre-drilled holes did not match my 2.5" hard drive. I was disappointed because the Revain description says: (Max 4TB hard drive support: internal, SATA interface, 3.5/2.5 inch). I have read the manual (instruction manual). It says "Please buy a hard drive (SATA 3.5)" (on page 06). Luckily the wiring works. So I just used one screw to install my 2.5 inch hard drive. There is a lot of free space in the NVR box. I suggest making room for 2.5" and 3.5" hard drives. B. The camera antenna can only be installed on the left side of the camera. This causes me some problems. It would be nice if the antenna could be placed on both sides of the camera.C. The dome camera is not available for this kit. I want to add a dome (or fisheye) camera to the system. Unfortunately they don't produce it. D. When I connect the NVR to the TV in my family room with an HDMI cable for the first time, the TV shows "Mode not supported". I called support. Daisy gave me some troubleshooting tips: Use a VGA cable or another TV. I followed her advice. VGA cables and other TVs work fine. This means the TV in my family room may not be compatible with this NVR.E. A camera's signal was toggled on and off. It has been detected that the camera may be too far away from the NVR or there are too many walls between the camera and the NVR. She patiently walked me through the process of setting up the "repeater" over the phone. Essentially, a camera (with a good signal) was set up next to the problematic camera and the NVR as a repeater to receive the signal from the problematic camera and then relay it to the NVR. This solved the problem. Thank you Daisy.F. The camera base is too small. A slightly larger base makes the camera more stable. There are 3 or 4 screws to adjust the angle and position of the camera. They're not very well designed. The remote viewing app on your mobile device, Danale, is reliable. However, the user's face can be enhanced. For example, in single camera view, swipe left or right to view the previous or next camera. During the installation, I was asked to enter a password for my home WiFi network. I was very reluctant to provide my password, although I did in the end. Does anyone know if this is a security risk? This wireless surveillance system is very good considering its price. I'll upload some photos and report back in a few months.
