I wasn't thrilled with the product, but it can be used.

Please correct the camera description. I chose the camera based on the supported ecosystem and mobile application. And he was in full swing.

Pros
  • Advantages: Camera works. It fulfills its function completely. Writes to a flash drive. It has been hanging on the street in the rain for 2 weeks already - there are no complaints about work except for braking. I will try to boost the Wi-Fi signal.
Cons
  • Flaws: Not an accurate description of the camera. I didn’t manage to connect it to the iCsee application, which is indicated in the description :-( Another application is used - Hisee SE. I also failed to connect to the smart home. Technical support did not help. Although the description states that it supports ecosystems. The camera came in a crumpled package and in an open box. During installation, he removed the top cover of the camera and saw the wiring from the antennas. One wire is simply glued with masking tape to the cover and does not go to the control board. Therefore, the camera has only one functioning antenna. The second antenna is just a dummy. In an area of weak signal reception, Wi-Fi slows down.

A nice option for the money, one of the best deals.

It was not possible to receive an RTSP stream from it, but it sends a picture to the application on the phone without problems. Has pros: Quick installation of the camera and application. Tracking "humanoids", auto-rotation of the camera behind the object With its cons: For your money norms. I hung it outside the window, let's see how it will behave in the winter.

Bad! I am not satisfied with the quality of the product.

Ordered again from the same seller the same camera. He sent another one: the appearance is the same, the application, packaging, settings - everything is different. We were frustrated, we wanted to connect the cameras into a system, now it will not work out beautifully and conveniently. Got pros: The camera works, the picture shows well, even at night clearly, as if a photo trap in the forest. The microphone works properly, all sounds are audible. There is a slot for a memory card. If you want…

Image flickers System design error

Image is unstable. frequent power outages The entire d-link system would benefit if it could be powered off and on wirelessly instead of physically reaching for the camera to unplug and plug it back in.

Pros
  • Usability
Cons
  • Doubtful

Security camera was hacked

Motion detection was very poor. My camera was hacked less than 7 days after installation. I am very disappointed with Dlink. I've been a customer since 2014. Your new security cameras are much easier to hack. Also, the camera turns off after 5 minutes and the app often freezes.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Functionality

Night vision is not very good

Replaced Lorax camera and Lorax night vision is much better. The D-Link camera is barely visible at night, I read the instructions twice and checked the settings. The image quality during the day is very good, but I was more interested in the safety at night.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Almost never

Floodlights on all night - often freezes

The insects attracted to our landscape lighting seem to confuse the DCS-8630LH floodlight. The software does not allow you to reduce the headlight sensitivity. The sensitivity of the motion detection (even reduced to the minimum) does not affect the constant light of the headlight. In addition, the camera image freezes several times during the day, even when accessed via LAN.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • I don't like anything about it, everything's fine

Motion light suitable for dome cameras

Motion light is the best feature of this surveillance camera. This security camera is very easy to set up and install, but you need to find a power source. The CCTV camera must be plugged into an electrical outlet. The camera works very well and has a motion detection function as well as a spotlight that activates when motion is detected. I had no problems with this security camera. I highly recommend this security camera.

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Operating speed

Motion detection is not very good

First of all I have over 15 cameras and they all work with the old application and have a free cloud service. Now this is my first outdoor camera and it says I need to download a new version of the app. So I do that and then find out that I now have to pay for a cloud service that has always been free. And when it comes to detection and notifications. It doesn't always record and send notifications and I've set my sensitivity to high. So what's better about that than .

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • I won't say anything

RETURNING THIS ITEM: According to ONVIF compliant but no RTSP channels

D-Link got greedy and locked this camera in my-dlink for channels, hence no integration with your home NVR, Blue Iris, ZoneMinder or TinyCam , etc. Third-party viewers and capture software. D-Link products used to be nice and open with HTTP and RTSP channels. D-Link's move to lock down the software renders this camera unusable unless you intend to unfortunately only be limited to D-Link products with their cloud viewing software and cloud recording service. As for the equipment itself, the…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Some little things

I have a lot of D-Link cameras and they work great with the Dlink app/cloud and I've never had a problem connecting to Wi-Fi. Always a big fan of D Link for the home. Especially with indoor pan and tilt cameras, which I actually use outside under my covered porches to keep out rain and other elements. Never had a problem using them outside for the past 5 years. Now I bought this new outdoor camera because it has a light, a siren and is really designed for outdoors. I have a router in my garage…
