WiFi is very unstable. The best work is definitely NOT D-Link. i hate to say it

I have a lot of D-Link cameras and they work great with the Dlink app/cloud and I've never had a problem connecting to Wi-Fi. Always a big fan of D Link for the home. Especially with indoor pan and tilt cameras, which I actually use outside under my covered porches to keep out rain and other elements. Never had a problem using them outside for the past 5 years. Now I bought this new outdoor camera because it has a light, a siren and is really designed for outdoors. I have a router in my garage 4 feet away from the unit and the Wi-Fi signal still drops almost once a day. It's almost impossible to reconnect to the internet through the app unless I disconnect it, turn it back on, and then press "reconnect" in the phone app. Searching for a camera on my network takes longer than my other cameras. Even stand directly below! Of course I can't control pan/tilt or whatever else I figured out when I bought it, but for an outdoor camera it would be nice. Tip Tip D-Link. I have almost 2 acres and 300 feet of driveway. Only half of the access road is visible at night. Without complaining that it is comparable to others. The only question is, why does the WLAN fail? I have two routers in the house, one in the garage and even a range extender and I'm still having connection issues. Disappointing. Indoor pan-tilt cameras work better outdoors, although indoor cameras cost $50 less. If you have an ethernet cable, you can connect it directly. Just keep it protected from the rain under a porch or gutter. In any case, this outdoor camera does not have an Ethernet cable connection, so only WiFi can be used. Really stinks only satisfied with the camera. I'll use it elsewhere, check if there are any connection issues and report it here shortly. Maybe it's where I have it, but it's where I've had a pan and tilt camera for many years with no problems. Just took it off to try it out. Right now I regret what I did.
