It's not ski season right now, but this fall on cold days in Colorado I had a few test runs in sneakers. These socks were nice and warm. The elastic in the calves proved to be very effective. They stay high on my calves right where I put them on. These aren't the thinnest wool socks I've worn, but they look like they would work well in ski boots. Ski boot fitters will tell you not to wear very thick socks when skiing as this will make you lose some control of the boot and skis. I ordered a large size and they fit perfectly. The seamless sock is a nice touch as my old socks sometimes felt the seam in the sock when in my boots. I am very happy with these socks. Their price is reasonable compared to what you will find at your local ski shop, but the quality seems better. And the price is MUCH cheaper than in the ski shop in the ski resort.
