As intended, the stand allows the Ipad to stand almost vertically. This is not good as a fairly heavy device can easily fall forward. I was able to snip half an inch of material off the underside of each wing with a pair of sharp scissors and it now folds back at a much safer and more comfortable angle. I know those bright foam cases are for kids but grandpa gets pretty clumsy and these tablet cases are cheap and effective. Geezer Proof is what they are. Apple won't replace a broken screen for fifteen dollars, even with so-called insurance. OTOH, as an Apple shareholder, I encourage everyone to throw, smash and drown their fragile devices and buy more. ACCIDENT is coming
