When they arrived I didn't think they would be unisex. They look small. As usual, I took photos, then washed and machine dried before a test run. The fit is stretchy in key areas - the ankle, of course, but also the arch of the foot. They stretched impressively when I put them on and I think they fit most foot sizes especially medium and large sizes. I'm a women's size 11 so I know big feet. had to adjust them to fit the ankle and arch support in the right places. Half a day and they stay exactly the way I want them. The top band of the elastic is tight enough to leave a ring around my ankle, but I think that's more of a flaw in my body than socks. However, if you are sensitive to it, it is good to know about it. They are soft, my feet feel dry all day in hiking boots and are very comfortable. There are no noticeable seams on the toes that rub uncomfortably. No pilling of the fabric after washing in the washing machine and dryer.
