The handle lid is perfect for my 10" Lodge cast iron skillet. I can't believe how wonderful this is. comfortable and secure grip. It's too long, but I might need the extra length for another pan one day. Companion grip doesn't work well with Lodge's smaller ASSIST grip. And the texture isn't like the coating on a pan handle. However, it is suitable for moving the grates in the oven and for other purposes. WARNING - DO NOT leave the silicone grip pads unattended on the pot or pan. It's useless. Even after cooling, the damaged area becomes a sticky mass. They can only be used to move dishes from one place to another. Since this set costs $20 at most - just to say - be wise!
