I prefer body pillowcases with a closed zippered end. This end folds over the pillow, so it's better than the open end of a standard pillowcase. The zipper prevents the pillow from slipping out and ensures a perfect, individual look. The color is very pretty and matches our duvet. When I think of champagne I think of a light cream, it's much darker. I would describe it as a light moose chocolate grey. The picture on the label is not a good color picture but my other pictures show the color accurately as does the picture on Amazon. The fabric is not very soft, but the pillowcase is made of good quality thick cotton. Ironing makes it look better when it's more decorative. It's not quite as comfortable as the Amazon picture, it's more of a relaxed looking body pillowcase. By washing and drying on medium I was able to reduce the size of the cover to the size of a pillow.
