These controllers aren't necessarily easy to use, but for the enthusiast it's a great way to explore the amazing variations of what IC strip lighting is capable of. The LIFX Z has the best colors, the most versatility and the best app, but it's also the most expensive. In terms of color matching, this BTF LIGHTING model is as close as you can get to the LIFX Z at around 6x (or less) the price. With the Magic Lantern app, I had a bit of an issue connecting to the light via WiFi, but once connected, the connection remained stable. The application has several pre-programmed lighting modes and allows you to synchronize them with music. One area the app is currently missing is the preset color adjustment panel. I don't really like adding an app for a single product, but these lights can also be controlled using the included or remote controls. This product, QJB Color Changing LED Strip, is of exceptionally high quality, especially at this price point. Other kits I compared to were about 6-8 times more expensive for this number of linear feet - I chose them because they have the most similar characteristics.
