The original Suspa struts on my Leer Shell were quite flimsy and would not raise the gate unless I helped and on more than one occasion almost hit my head if I wasn't careful . The usage of C16-06389 is marked on the racks I found. Although they are slightly more expensive than the Suspa model, I chose them based on the good reviews. I was also suspicious of the Suspa racks based on their less than stellar durability ratings. Easy to swap out (both took 10 minutes max) and WOW. There is no longer a chance of being hit in the head and he slightly lifts the gate, fully opening it and holding it. It's been a while, but I really don't remember the original racks ever being this solid. I hope they hold up!
