The cylinder itself is great. You have to be sure to get the geometry just right, which I knew going in but was still a bit more fussy than I realized. That’s not the manufacturer’s fault, so much as Math’s fault.However, after just a few months of being in an outdoor cabinet, the mounting brackets have all rusted to heck. I used my shock/struts for my camper box under the mattress. Being single senior age female, I don't have the strength I did at one time, so lifting the box lid & trying to hold it open with the weight of the mattress on it was difficult for me. Now it's a breeze AND I don't even have to hold it open any longer, the struts do it for me. When I'm all done I push down on the mattress & it closes easily. What a lifesaver for me. My Son did install them as that wasn't so easy for me by myself.

These do not have the quick release ball mount ends that come on RVs, so I had to remove my original mounts, and the supplied mounts had to be mounted in different locations because of the design of the new brackets. They'll work, but I'm saving my original mounts to eventually go back to the original, quick clip design.

There are lots of photos showing the struts installed on brackets. So it seemed obvious that the bracket were included. Nope. And no information on which brackets to get either. I looked at Ebay's "Frequently bought together" and found the brackets as a separate item. Would have been nice to have clear information about this.

These worked perfect! But these are not soft close. They’re soft opening, which for my application it worked better for me. I got these to install a very top heavy hood (roof) for a dog house. And so far they hold up well. These are super strong when paired. It can do some lifting when opening. The brackets on the other hand, seem a little bit flimsy for the strength these have.

Fits and works Great. Does not have the brackets at the ends (However, if you are just replacing your old struts you do not need new ones). These are easy to install!

Installation took a little bit as unless you can model it in some cad software you just have to figure out the attachment points through a trial and error process. But once installed the shocks had no problems lifting the cover four our hot tub cover compartment. The cover is very heavy, but now you can lift it with just a gentle tug on the handle and the shocks do the rest!

I weigh 220lbs. With all my strength, weight, and power, I can barely decompress one. Stronger than 67lbs more like 367lbs per deal.

I used these to support a lid on a large tool box I installed in my truck, these make it a breeze to open the lid and work perfect at holding the lid up. They were very simple to install using the included mounting brackets.

These mounts make this dead simple to install, you will need to provide your own hardware, but that is fine as you may want to bolt or rivet them them or like me, use deck screws with washers. Got these this morning and had no issues installing them on my trashcan enclosure, which has a fairly heavy lid. Worked like a charm, def will be buying more.

Check your mounting positions for the brackets. They are relatively fixed and I had to mount them backwards in my RV storage compartment. But otherwise a huge step up from my former 50#'ers.

I used these to make canopies that open for summer and close for winter on my kids rabbit house. They work great and have held up to some good wind strength. I'll be using the same plans for any of our hutches, they work so well.

I was having a problem with the operation of gas struts I installed on a wooden storage bench. The heavy wooden lid would open fine but dropped quickly when closing. This is a safety issue since I have grand kids. Lisa of Vepagoo responded quickly and after requesting additional information from me, recommended a specific change in the location of the lower mounting points. The opening and closing of the lid now operates as I wanted and I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the product

Once you know how to measure these properly, it's very easy to order the right size and know that it'll work. Original shocks on my camper shell were shot, these fit right in and give good support, nice and firm. Easy to install. A single one is strong enough to hold the entire window up on its own. Will see how long they last.

Bought this for an outdoor TV cabinet I built. Of course I didn’t fully research the exact length (got an eye roll from my wife).
