When I received the controller there was a black controller on the outside of the box. I ordered the red and black version so I was concerned they would send me a different color. When the box was opened it was actually red and black so no problem. The product was wrapped in styrofoam-like plastic, with instructions hidden on the back of the controller. They were dented but functional. This is important (instruction is important). The instructions must be read. The controller must first be charged from a wall outlet (USB-C cable included). I made the mistake of plugging it directly into my computer to charge, which resulted in it not syncing with my Switch off the bat. I had to wait for it to sync and then charge it before I could sync it to the Switch. Now for performance. I may be a little biased because I got this product at a discount, but I really liked it. My favorite controller element is the joystick because it has a soft, almost suede-like texture. The shape of the joystick also fits my thumb well. Please note that I have small hands but I think it will be comfortable for someone. The side handles are good too. The grips are more rectangular (unlike the PS4 DualShock controller which has more cylindrical grips) which I found comfortable to use. I haven't tested the battery length yet, but I'll update this review when I do. I think I'm a gamer at the highest level now. If you're just looking for a cheaper controller to replace a professional controller, this will definitely do the trick.
