Although I took the measurements I wasn't really sure how big the electric fireplace was going to be, it's very good, too bad to hide in a corner. It looks very realistic, it has a unique shape that I like, it has a well adjustable flame and heat. The auto shut off works well if your room gets warm and the heat control can be set very low or high, there is plenty of room for this reason basically no remote control is needed other than turning it on and off remotely. distance or if you can't lean forward for some reason it's pretty quiet too, I had no problem with loud noises just a very very faint hum. I actually bought this for the master bedroom but it's so good I've moved it to the living room.
