I'm giving this 5 stars because I haven't had a problem in about a year. The biggest problem is that when washed in hot water they slowly shrink until they no longer fit my foot. But combine that with my obsession with bleach and they last around 12-14 months if worn 1-2 times a week. Keep in mind that most computer controlled washing machines made in the last 10-15 years don't have a true hot water option. So only people like me with mechanical washing machines and a 130 degree water heater will notice the shrinkage problem.
