I took a closer look and did a lot of research before gritting my teeth. I even went so far as to check mobile app reviews for both iOS and Android devices, many of which are gross and some good. I chose this PoE system for the ease of installation and the fact that everything is in one design. I had an issue in the first week where I couldn't access the cameras offline. Customer service was prompt and polite, which eventually led me to determine that my ethernet ports on my router needed to be addressed, after which our access worked fine. I'm still working to figure out all the features, but after 3 weeks I'm generally satisfied. The photos above show: a photo of my mother-in-law walking to work with night vision on, I retrieved the footage from my phone outside of town with relative ease in about a couple of hours. The second photo was a live image from the same camera, and it shows the entire 165 feet of my front yard, leading to both sidewalks of my porch, pretty well. They're all 5-megapixel cameras and have exceptional clarity, which I wasn't expecting. Remember this is my first camera system. I'll update any changes as/if I think they happen, but for now I'd recommend this system if you're looking for a plug and play security camera solution.
