Pleasant light is best for ceiling lights
You still need to mount the light directly to the ceiling and not to a junction box in the ceiling like most lights do. The lamp is light, so its installation does not take much time. It had wires going through the back of the light to connect it but the wires in the junction box are short and the wires in the light are short so it was difficult to connect and hang so I routed the wires from the junction box to the junction box. Bracket and so connected. Another issue I noticed was that since the LEDs are mounted on the (top) base of the fixture, you can see through the lenses any wires that get lost in the base.
