This is better than the Shure in two ways. 1) The actual pop filter is securely attached and will never come loose. The Shure model attaches like an eardrum and requires periodic tightening. 2) Shure comes with a metal bracket that needs to be attached to the mic stand and then the pop filter gooseneck screwed in. The gooseneck detaches too easily and the metal strut does not detach quickly and interferes. The Aokeo pop filter has a standard clip that can be used on a microphone stand or many other things! I love Shure mics, but Aokeo knows what people really need in a pop filter.
