Most of my bifocal readers (and I have a whole collection) are split right down the middle of the lenses. They have a semicircle at the bottom of the lens and don't go through the entire floor. It's more like 2/3 of the way through the floor on the inside and almost halfway up. Therefore, the vast majority of lenses have no correction at all. They're actually pretty good when I'm reading a book and need to look up from time to time to see the room, but they're not so good when I want to see my computer screen. They are very, very light. At $22, I think it's a bit pricey for Revain readers, but they're good.
