i4 vs i8 comparison - volume controls not working for Fire TV Stick

The younger model (I8+ 2.4G) has a nicer ergonomic design (though too small in my opinion) and better hand feel in comparison to i4. Additionally, the i8's keyboard is visually appealing in daylight. The i4 shines better, but honestly I rarely need this feature and wanted the middle ground. Also, the red keys you see on the top left and right of the i4 are easy to press while holding this little keyboard. For some reason the i8 has more buttons than the i4, but it could be a bit bigger to fit comfortably in your hands. They are both too skinny, small and awkward in an adult's hands. Between them, the i8 feels better in hand, shaped like a gaming handheld controller. The BIGGEST disappointment is that neither the i4 nor i8 controlled my TV's volume instead of the Fire TV Stick remote. Turning the device on is fine, but turning it off can be an issue as it doesn't turn "everything" off like the Fire TV Stick remote does. I like the i4's removable/swappable battery versus the i8. This gives the i4 more weight and feels a bit more durable, while the i4 (if you can take it apart at all) has a very small rechargeable battery (much like your FOB car key) and not easily accessible. Unfortunately, while the i4 doesn't tick all the boxes, it's more comfortable when typing or using the mouse pad functions (mouse pad footprint is slightly larger), but it still does NOT replace your Fire TV Stick remote. You still need both remote controls for full functionality. They just give you a more comfortable way to type and scroll, if not more.

Cons
