I bought these because they were cheap and I wanted to see what the technology had to offer. It's not bright enough to replace room lighting. I'm only saying this because my friend has a TV and he can make it too bright. There is no problem with them. It's more ambient lighting than anything else. The remote control is decent, I can turn on the light from most places in the room and it works. But I could never get my phone to work with them. I have an Android Pixel 4 and despite three attempts and about an hour of research online I was never able to get it to work. I didn't notice any increase in my electricity bill at all, so that's a definite plus.
