Bought these for my daughter as I thought she might not be able to use them until next winter but although they are a bit big we were able to use them this one Year to use for sledding. They didn't fall off, and it wasn't difficult for her to climb the mountain in them. She didn't trip over it. The insole looks like thick wool and it seems it will be comfortable and warm, but I certainly haven't tried it on myself. The size and color I needed turned out to be the lowest price of all the options, which is very nice! However, if this were not the case, I would probably give up buying and try to find cheaper ones.
