Review on ๐ŸŽฎ GoolRC Portable Handheld Console - 3 Inch by Mike Larkin

Decent pocket emulator

The operating system supports a number of good emulators. GBA games play great on it, but the screen is big enough / different pixel densities so fullscreen ends up scaling weirdly. Suitable for PS1, but 3D games tend to be choppy while 2D games run smoothly. The device is actually a Powkiddy V90 (it's a Bittboy Pocket Go clone in a different case). There are custom operating systems if you want to try replacing it for some extra power, but ultimately you're still limited by the hardware. The form factor is great, pocket sized, and the clamshell makes it smaller. Buttons might work a bit. The speakers are loud but a bit hoarse. If you're looking for an emulator with physical buttons rather than a phone, this is a great alternative. If you have a little extra cash to spend a little more then maybe a mainstream laptop would be worth it, but for the cheap it works. One last note: the device does not pause when the device is closed! I asked myself this question before I bought it.
