I really like these shorts. I ordered these because I wanted to wear shorts to the gym. As an "older" person with a less than perfect figure, I don't feel comfortable in the new tight sportswear that younger women wear, but the sweatpants are too hot and many summer shorts are just too thin. as far as the stuff goes. You are perfect! They're light enough not to be bulky or hot; but the fabric is strong enough to hide my imperfections. And they come right above my knees. I'm just over 5ft 6" and I usually wear a size 16 etc jeans so I ordered XL and they fit me perfectly - not too tight but not too baggy or loose. and now I have also ordered dark blue am very happy with the purchase!
