Review on Quartet Portable Projection High Resolution 560S by Chris Pettway

Not the most portable portable screen

This is a good quality screen, but it's not exactly portable. I've used this a lot to show movies to friends. This is a good quality screen, although not as good as some of the older screens that were made in the US. However, the canvas material is solid and the tripod base is pretty solid. However, it's not super portable. It's about 74 inches long, which means you'll have to lower and slide the rear seats through. It's a cumbersome process because it's heavy enough to make getting in and out of the car difficult. The base is also too large to leave permanently installed anywhere, although this is a problem with most tripod screens. Since I use it exclusively for 16x9 content, I'll look at the Epson Duet, which is much smaller because it uses a completely different screen mechanism (opens from the side instead of the bottom). I got this at a super deal so I enjoyed it.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Hard to tell
