I bought these shoes so I could wear a very long dress that I could not shorten because of the tulip style skirt. The height of the shoes was good and the dress did not drag on the ground. The problem was with my old lady 50+ year old bony feet! If I had more cushioning on the tops of my feet like most younger people, these would have fit fine. Adjusted the straps as far as they could go but they were a little loose around my bony feet, so my feet slid forward with my toes over hanging a little. For most people, the shoe would be true to size. Overall, these are well made, stable platform sandals that would hold most feet well. This style with the cross-cross and ankle straps hold your feet and ankles for more stability.
