You can do better in this price range

I wanted to love it. The D-shaped pillow is spacious, comfortable and has excellent insulation. The earbuds are lightweight but very durable. It's beautiful and the materials are of good quality. The dual connector is good and it comes with a nice case. But these headphones are not without flaws. The first thing that speaks against them is the price. There are plenty of established studio competitors out there for the same money or even less, and they just don't bring much uniqueness. Second, despite being very flat, they lack bass. I'm not saying this as a bass lover or bassist, I'm saying that the bass just isn't strong enough even compared to other headphones trimmed for precise response. Third: Watch those loops! The part where the loop folds to fold into the case is right where your hand falls to grab it when putting it on your head or taking it off, and this large metal hinge can easily hold your finger pinch When I tried them once, I actually pinched my joint three times, and one of those times the skin tore. I want them to like it. They have good qualities and the Koss brand usually gives you a lot more bang for your buck than most companies. Plus, there's the amazing Koss Guarantee. But I just can't recommend them. You can usually find well-recorded, studio-tuned, comfortable, lightweight and flat-looking models from Sony, AudioTechnica and even some Sennheiser models and if you shop around they're easy to find and 30% cheaper than RRP. I excitedly bought them when they were selling for $99 and even at that price I couldn't justify them. I think anyone looking for studio precision should look elsewhere.
