Review on ANCEL Battery 100 1100 Automotive Analyzer by Jerry Delozier

Easy to install, easy to use and works great with most batteries. Unfortunately, this doesn't work very well with high-capacity AGM batteries with thick plates. The CCA calculation and definition seems to be calculated from the internal resistance index. I contacted two different battery manufacturers and got the same advice. The only way to accurately test this type of battery is to use a "carbon stack" battery tester (which I've never heard of). I have tested this tester on both car batteries and general purpose AGM deep cycle batteries and it has worked reasonably well, measuring both CCA and voltage and giving a reliable indication of battery health in my opinion.
