ANCEL Battery 100 1100 Automotive Analyzer Review

My 3 year old factory battery can only hold a surface charge and if I leave it overnight the voltage drops to around 11.5-12V, that Car hardly starts. So I know the battery is dead. However, all of these gauges show different CCAs above face value.

My father bought a rechargeable battery and found out after a few weeks that it was completely discharged. We thought that maybe the machine was little used to allow it to run off. It arrived just in time. I installed it on the battery and got a message saying it needs to be replaced. It was still under warranty. I also used it on my Harley battery thought I might need to replace it but it was still in great condition.

I have a three battery boat and a long standing electrical problem. I needed to start tracking down the source of my problem and Ancel's battery tester was the first step. I started writing that this is a great no frills battery tester. But then I realized that I didn't know what "excesses" I would expect from a battery tester that I didn't get from Ancel. I can't blame him.

Works as advertised. Saved me $180 when I thought my boat battery was dead. It's nice to have in the garage if you think you've got a bad battery and no other problem. It performs load tests much more efficiently than my old battery tester which had a coil that got very hot when you tested the battery under load. This takes a little longer to test, but stays cool and puts all the information on an easy-to-read screen.

I've used this on several car batteries and it's been accurate. It is easy to use and easy to read as well. I had a problem with it when he diagnosed that a 1998 Corvette's battery was only 8.6v, but when the car owner took the battery to the auto parts store, they checked the battery as good, not knowing what the discrepancy was. The instructions are quite difficult to understand but if you are looking for a cheap battery tester I think you need this.

It's a boot for the price. It took me about 5 minutes to see that my daughter's amps were 45% lower than what the dough was designed for. Picked up, replaced, and the joy of my life is on the way again. This device is incredibly easy to use and well worth the investment. I checked my battery and eventually replaced it for the same reason my daughter's car wouldn't start. Easy to install, easy to use and works great with most batteries. Unfortunately, this doesn't work very well with high-capacity AGM batteries with thick plates. The CCA calculation and definition seems to be calculated from the internal resistance index. I contacted two different battery manufacturers and got the same advice. The only way to accurately test this type of battery is to use a "carbon stack" battery tester (which I've never heard of). I have tested this tester on both car batteries

God! First let me say that it's hard to trust any review at all because I swear some of them are sooooo completely opposite to others it's hard to know who is lying or if it's just an application bug or a defect in this product gives.
