I looked through the reviews of various curling irons and curling irons and decided on this one. The unit gets very hot and there is no temperature control, but I'm happy with the heat setting. It's not that long but my hair is short so I don't need it longer. This is a great size for travel and comes with a holdall. Easily switch between curling iron and straightener. It has two plastic feet so you can put it on the counter without risking burning the counter. I was in Florida during heavy rains and my hair couldn't hold its shape due to the humidity so I bought this and have been using it in place of regular straighteners ever since.
