I bought this screen protector after my husband gave me a new Galaxy Tab A 9.7 for Christmas. These screens are surprisingly easy to install, my tablet's touchscreen is as responsive as ever, and the screen is crystal clear. I dock the sprocket because the fairing came loose a bit and I had to use two shields to get the perfect fit. If the finish had been done more carefully I would have gotten it the first time. When it arrived at my door (shipping was lightning fast) the first thing I did was go to the web address on the box and watch a little installation video. It only takes a few minutes and has helped this never-before-established on-screen defensive girl act with confidence. The instillation was surprisingly easy! I had to use two shields because as I said before the fairing is a bit off and I lined it up perfectly for the sensors on top and when I got to the power button on the bottom it was partially covered. . The second time I made sure it was lined up for the power button and the install went smoothly. I had a few bubbles when the shield was on, but with the bubble map they all came out easily. Tips: 1. Before doing anything, watch the video. I watched it twice to make sure the procedure was cold.2. Turn off the device and clean the screen thoroughly. I used Windex with vinegar and sprayed it lightly onto a soft cloth to keep my screen perfectly clean and free of grease, oils and fingerprints. Place the device on a lint-free surface, I use some paper towels.4. Be obsessed with dust and fingerprints! If you think your screen is clean-clean-clean, lower it at an angle and test it against the light. If there is residue or marks, clean again. Once clean, use the included cleaning cloth and clean the screen AGAIN. Obsessively use film to collect dust. Use, check. Use it again. Check. Repetition. You have the idea! 5. When you are ready to apply the film, be careful not to touch the surface next to the screen! Follow the instructions to film videos and record them little by little. Work smoothly and the film will settle as you go, removing many bubbles. If you need it, you can do it partially, remove the bubbles and continue. But don't worry about the blisters. They will disappear once you reach the bubble removal step. Believe me. :D6. Once your film has settled, grab a bubble pusher and use hard hits and pressure (don't get mad, you don't want to break the screen. ;)) and push the bubbles out. Check your work from different angles and catch bubbles trying to hide and stay. I missed a few until I grabbed my tablet and the little bugs showed up. If this happens, just take the card and throw it out of your life. If you see some dust under the film, don't worry. Just follow the instructions in the video to use the small cleaning tapes, remove them and reattach the film, remove the bubbles, make sure everything is ok, then remove the top film. Check again and done! It sounds like a process, but it's actually quite simple. Just take your time, go step by step, check, check again, keep an eye on the dust and you'll have a good screen protector in no time.
