Powerbuilt 641870 Magnetic Socket Set 5/8 & 13/16

I have been looking for spark plug magnetic sockets for a long time. My current CrewLine (Collar Days) 13/16 and Craftsman 5/8 spark plug heads are quite worn (wellie inserts) and cannot hold spark plugs when removing/installing. I could just go to my local Sear store and buy a new set, but I want to try the new magnetic spark plugs. I searched the internet at a local auto parts store and finally found this set perfect for what I need. Delivery was on time. The packaging says Made in Taiwan. The build quality is excellent. The chrome finish matches my other socket set I have. See pic 1. 2 weeks ago I finally started using the 5/8 jack. The magnets are strong. Strong enough to simply suck out my spark plug by inserting the plug into the magnetic socket like a vacuum cleaner. It also took a little more effort to remove the socket extension I used from the magnetic socket. Nice! If you look at the socket set, see picture 2, there is a metal flange in the socket. There are magnets behind the metal flange. The flange looks spot welded. This is a nice feature as the spark plug nut is flush with the bushing and the magnet is in the center of the bushing. See Figure 3. With this feature, the ceramic and top spark plug boot does not even touch the spark plug socket. See Figure 4. The rubber booted spark plug head is notorious for cracking ceramics as it grips the ceramic portion of the spark plug to hold the spark plug when you torque the head while twisting/flipping the spark plug, especially in tight spaces. . Great find and definitely recommend. Hope that helps
