Review on Boost Your Communication: Plantronics S11 Telephone Headset System - Enhanced Audio, Black by Samuel Kromah

I have had a similar device from the same company for 15 years. It just became unreliable, which is why I bought this device. It was about 1/4 the price of the original product and it was cheaper with handles and stuff but I expected it for the price and it's not a problem. The headset also appears to be a lot cheaper and probably won't survive a 15 year sentence like my previous one (although the price was right). Setup was identical to my original device, but the headset didn't work initially. I followed all the instructions (actually I didn't because I never read if there is no problem and this time there was). When I finally read the instructions, I noticed that there are two controls that are only mentioned on the device diagram. Their use was not mentioned in any of the configuration steps (configuration sliders and transmission levels). I started playing with it randomly and eventually the headset started working. This was also not mentioned in the troubleshooting solutions section. Tone choice also helps improve things, but I think that's been described. I'm not going to remove the simple documentation limitation, so I'll give it a 5 anyway. The sound quality was great (better than my old unit) when I played around with these undocumented settings. If it lasts half as long now, I'll be thrilled. Also note that the headset holder, which I didn't want to use, doesn't fit the thick headband properly. You could fix it with pliers if you really wanted to.
