Review on Valenchi Pocket Minimalist Wallet ๐Ÿงณ - Compact and Convenient Pocket Companion by Jeff Keegan

Basically good, but some flaws

This product is beautifully crafted from well-embossed leather to give it an interesting texture. I like the arrangement of the vertical card/ID slots on the sides with three large compartments in the center for dollar bills, receipts, and oversized cards. I find the external ID slot with thumb slide opening a must-have feature, and it is. But it also has some disadvantages. The ID window is too small, depending on how I insert my driver's license it either hides my face or the expiration date, both of which are usually checked. In practice, I think you'll almost always be asked to remove an ID. Of course this will still happen sometimes, but hey, if you want an ID window, make sure you can see the ID! Another issue is that I have a hard time pulling cards out of the vertical slots. They made a little V on one side and that helps a bit with that one card, but overall it seems a little too hard to pull the cards out. I prefer the design with a thumb hole at the bottom to allow the card to slide up. In fact, I really want that thumb hole to go through all the card slots on the side. In other words, I want to be able to place all three cards at once with my thumb from below. then I can just paste the one I want at the top of the map *above*. It should be relatively easy to make and would be a lot more convenient! And finally, they sewed a separate piece of leather on the side to showcase their Valenci name. It's beautifully made, but people buy a minimalist wallet for its thinness, and that extra touch only distracts from the thinness. It looks like it will be a pain to remove and there will likely be tiny holes underneath. I think that's a bad decision.
