NB 990 are the most comfortable and durable shoes I have ever had. I've been wearing the earlier versions for many years. The V5 is also comfortable, but feels a little tighter in the toe and less soft in the heel. They just aren't as good as the earlier versions. Luckily I found a pair of V4s in my size and they fit perfectly - lots of toe room, support throughout. If you have narrow feet, the mid-size V5 will suit you. If you have normal/medium sized feet, you might like tight pinky shoes more than the other options.
