I needed this to help a very low, very powerful subwoofer get more signal to 'wake it up' a bit. I have an old Klipsch 10" subwoofer with two 10" passive radiators powered by a 600w BASH built in amplifier. This subwoofer is extremely powerful, but plays so quietly (even with the crossover wide open) that you feel it more than you hear it. It does what it's supposed to do and does it well, but I felt like it wasn't getting enough signal from my source. That little RCA amp REALLY helped bring it to life. I haven't had it long enough to report on its durability, but in terms of performance, it's fantastic. It does a great job and seems to stay pretty clean while doing it. Recommended if you want to amplify your RCA signal inexpensively.
