Review on Red Gen7Pets Jogger Pet Stroller by Shane Minter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best stroller under $200 for small dogs.

I am very happy with my purchase. I'm very picky and can't complain too much about that, but I'll mention a few things that could be improved in an ideal world. You should know that my priorities when looking for a cheaper yet quality stroller were whether it would last a long time, whether it would go over rough terrain and in all weathers, and whether it would be smooth and comfortable for my dog (need not be in that order). .This stroller arrived quickly and was really easy to assemble. Two hundred dollars was my spending limit and I know I got the best stroller my money could have gotten. I am satisfied with the original quality. I really wish air filled tires were an option. Then it would be perfect. The rims that come with it are good. They appear to be plastic at first glance, but are actually a hard rubber material. I think they will continue. That's a good height off the ground. Not too high, but high enough to (hopefully) walk through the snow. I pushed it pretty fast and the ride isn't bad, but it's not exactly smooth. I know my dog still feels bumps in the pavement, but it doesn't seem to care. I put something softer in the basket so it wouldn't sit on the hard ground. It comes with a pad but if you ask me the pad is more for looks. I will be using it every day on my 13lb dog while she is on heartworm treatment for two months and after that time I will be writing another review to update how it is working. We're in Wisconsin and we're already snowing by early November, so I'll be riding on snow and ice. Also, I have three other big dogs, so I always have to push with one hand. It glides effortlessly down pavements and negotiates terrain and curbs like a champ. There are very few negative reviews about this stroller on the Internet. I read in some reviews that it was unpredictable or unstable. I didn't think that was typical at all. It seems strong and stable to me. I've also read about front wheel problems. I did two rigorous 30 minute test rides with it and had no issues with the front wheel. The dog basket is not big. I think a medium sized dog will do, but can't lie down. My 50 pound jumper didn't fit. No rain/snow cover was included and I can't find a company that sells one. This is disappointing because I will be using it in all weathers. The height of the handle is very comfortable for those 5'10" and under. I'm 6ft tall and I stretched my arms fully to push him. I like the window at the top so I can see the dog while I'm pushing it. The hood is really easy to use, it has a good design and I don't mind zippers. My first impression is that they are sturdy and not a problem. I used the stroller in the evening when it got dark and didn't notice any reflective strips. Bike handlebar lights are easy to attach to the tubular frame, making them safer at night. I would like the basket to be open at the bottom, without a zipper, because I think it would be easier to quickly pull things out and throw things. But now I torture myself with little things. Overall I'm really impressed. I can't tell you how many hours (yes hours) I've spent reading reviews and watching videos of various dog walkers. It's embarrassing. And after all that, I stopped there. Are there better strollers with more features for more money? Yes, but this is the best option for under $200 for small dogs. I hope this review helps you in your stroller search. UPDATE: This stroller handled snow and ice very well. I took it without hesitation when there was snow on the ground. it held up exceptionally well for the time I used it during her treatment. We only used it for 2 months because she really likes to walk. Once the physical activity restrictions were removed from her, we stopped using the stroller.
