It's just ok best in my review

It's ok. While it is easy to assemble and put out for use, the water flow mechanism only work half the time. Also there is no way to screen on the water bottle so it flops around. If your stake isn't in the ground even or if you have a slope to your ground it's going to tip over.I have to refill the bottles quite often since it doesn't really "regular" the water flow. I think it's a good temporary solution, but for long term it isn't quite what I was looking for.

Pros
  • Tried to attach larger bottles...wont do it
Cons
  • Work but not well

Left for vacation, everything’s dead

Left for vacation, everything’s dead. Well at least I tried. Probably good for a weekend. But no time after that We couldn''t get ours to work. Unable to balance the bottles.!

Pros
  • Sturdy, Easy setup! Read the instruction and you’ll be fine. Use a bottle that’s halfway to 3/4 full.
Cons
  • We couldn't get ours to work. Unable to balance the bottles.

Be careful! best in my review

If you push to hard to attach the valve, it renders it useless! and even for the half that I got to work, didn't work very well. I tried to adjust to a really slow leak but it all emptied out after 24 hours with a 2-liter bottle.

Pros
  • Great for vacation plant care
Cons
  • May not be durable

I'm not sold good for me

I'm not sold on this product. I only haven't returned it because it shows I 'try' to keep my plants alive. May not work well with plants that require dry soil.

Pros
  • No more worrying about plant care
Cons
  • May not work well with plants that require dry soil

No instructions good for me

I tried assembling it and when I tried to put a bottle of water in it, the water bottle just fell over. They DO NOT hold 16 ounce water bottles. Waste of money!

Pros
  • I was looking for something that would water for up to three days
Cons
  • They’re ok, but nothing to shout about!

Incomplete and inadequate.

These items didn't include required tubing and no reference material for set up and use.I can't use them because I have no data to set system up

Pros
  • Comes with a satisfaction guarantee
Cons
  • Can be a potential hazard for pets and children

I like that they are colorful and easy to install. Winding to the right lessens the drips and to the left increases the drips. The heavier the bottle the more it sinks into the soil and this blocks and clogs the spicket!

Pros
  • Watch the video in the product description to see how this works.
Cons
  • Doesn't work all the time...gets stuck

Only the spike and the drip regulator in this drip system works. I’ve tried 5 various sizes of bottles and non fit. If you use a wine bottle as was suggested in the add, it does not fit the system’s spike and as a result, becomes a breaking hazard. I won’t by these again! In my opinion, they are junk!

Pros
  • Simple installation process
Cons
  • May not work well with outdoor plants in extreme weather conditions

A Dud. Cheaply Made and Doesn’t Work Well

Not every purchase is a winner but this one classified as pure plastic crap. The idea is the bottle sits on top of the spike and a small spigot regulates the drip. First design flaw—the bottle has to balance on a perfectly straight spike. There is nothing that holds the bottle in place so it generally falls over. Second flaw—the spigots are really cheap plastic and broke almost instantly. My recommendation is do not waste your money. I’m sorry I did. If I’d seen this in a real store I could…

Pros
  • Eliminates overwatering
Cons
  • May not be effective in high temperatures

Quality control needs work.

Interesting design that needs some work. Some of the valves didn't flow at all until I cleared them out with a drill bit. They are very hard to set a consistent flow rate. I would never trust them for set and forget. It would be better if the bottle holder was more secure. Plastic drink bottles flop around a lot. Anything heavy like a glass wine bottle would be questionable at best.

Pros
  • Say goodbye to wilted plants
Cons
  • Can be confusing to set up for some users

Too much too fast or nothing, no inbetween

I was hoping to use these on my indoor plants when I’m traveling, but because the adjustable drip is either off or too much, they’re not going to help. I attached a 17 oz water bottle on the lowest drip, it was emptied within 24 hours. And to get the water bottle to stand up straight you need to lean it against parts of the plant, which works on some plants and not others. Gonna still need neighbors to come in and water my plants, these are useless.

Pros
  • Comes in different pack sizes
Cons
  • May not work well with plants that require manual trimming

Good idea, Poor execution

The design of this product is on the right track but it needs some changes to be really useful. It is very unstable if any bottle larger than 1 liter is used. If the stack were twice as long and provision made to screw the bottle on to the device, it would be quite useful. As it is I would not recommend it.

Pros
  • ♥ Superb Material - Made of PP plastic and you can use it repeatedly because each irrigation drippers ensure long service life. With High strength and toughness, good heat and cold resistance, safe and durable. Recycle plastic bottles effectively. Reduce waste and protect the environment.
Cons
  • Did not work well.

It's okay for plants that don't need water.

While these are a good idea in theory, they are actually completely useless. These are marketed as a watering solution for up to 5 or 6 days, I believe. However, the most that it can be used for is a 2 liter bottle. Two liters will not sufficiently water any plant for under a week. It might be good for two days, but especially during the summer her in SoCal. Just last week, it got up to 115° F. These plants will need much more water to be able to survive.

Pros
  • Helps plants thrive
Cons
  • Can cause overwatering if not used properly

Hard to get the desired time between drops

This works but you can spend almost hours trying to get your desired timing between drops and then, the next day could’ve stopped.

Pros
  • Automatic Irrigation Equipment
Cons
  • Can be expensive for multiple plants

Somewhat of a challenge to get it to work correctly

I went on vacation for 3 weeks. Some worked. I noticed that the ones that worked best were wine bottles. They have to be standing straight up. It was a challenge to get them set up. I am still not sure how far to push the spike down in the soil. Should the regulator be below or above so you can see the drops?

Pros
  • No risk of soil damage
Cons
  • May clog easily in areas with hard water

Mixed results in my review

Well, I thought these would be really great for easy plant watering but, I’m second guessing it now. These do fit into a water bottle cap well but, it’s not easy to turn the bottle upside down in the dispenser and not have water go all over the place. I have had mixed results - the nozzle doesn’t seem to work consistently. I tested it and a small water bottle and it lasted about 3 days which was great! Then when I replaced the bottle and didn’t adjust the nozzle speed, the next morning water…

Pros
  • Compatible with different plant types
Cons
  • May not work well with outdoor plants

Difficult to use: my feedback

Tried it for my outside flower pots.Does not attach to the bottle like it looks. Water can just drain out and the flow control valve is not placed in an easy position to adjust.

Pros
  • Saves money on plant care
Cons
  • Can cause water to overflow from the pot

Not sure if this will work

From the description and online photos I expected the soda bottle to screw onto the unit. Instead, it just sort of "balances” on it. It’s still too early for outside gardening in my zone so only time will tell if these are worth the money/effort.UPDATE:Just as I thought, getting the bottle to balance perfectly straight up and down if you have good, loose soil is impossible. The spike tips over, the bottle tips over, the water pours out. So I tried propping the bottle. The piece that fits inside

Pros
  • Perfect for busy people
Cons
  • Can be unsightly in the plant pot

Most work but not all.

These seem to be hit or miss with them. I used 9 of the 10 during my last 3 day trip. Of the 9, 2 stopped dripping shortly after I started them. They were dripping when I set them up. 1 made it thru half a 20 oz bottle and then stopped. The other six worked fine. Very finicky when getting the drips right. Overall I am happy with the 6 that worked, wish they all would have worked.

Pros
  • Ensures consistent watering
Cons
  • May not work well with plants that require misting

Interesting concept.

I’m hoping to use these when I go away. Trying them in the meantime. I recommend you experiment beforehand, different ones drip faster or slower. So far, they’re mostly doing alright.

Pros
  • No need for electricity or batteries
Cons
  • Can cause uneven watering
