It's okay for plants that don't need water.
While these are a good idea in theory, they are actually completely useless. These are marketed as a watering solution for up to 5 or 6 days, I believe. However, the most that it can be used for is a 2 liter bottle. Two liters will not sufficiently water any plant for under a week. It might be good for two days, but especially during the summer her in SoCal. Just last week, it got up to 115Β° F. These plants will need much more water to be able to survive.
