It's okay for plants that don't need water.
While these are a good idea in theory, they are actually completely useless. These are marketed as a watering solution for up to 5 or 6 days, I believe. However, the most that it can be used for is a 2 liter bottle. Two liters will not sufficiently water any plant for under a week. It might be good for two days, but especially during the summer her in SoCal. Just last week, it got up to 115ยฐ F. These plants will need much more water to be able to survive.
