These rugs look very nice and the color was just what I wanted. So what's the problem? First of all, they are very small - there is hardly any space for a plate and dishes, an ordinary glass will not fit. This means, beyond mere aesthetics, spills will inevitably end up on the table, defeating the purpose of a waterproof mat. Second, and perhaps more importantly, stains cannot be removed. Even with an immediate wipe, coffee and sauce stains stay forever! I've tried various detergents, dish soap, baking soda, and vinegar but nothing seems to get the stains out. So yes, they look good but don't work when you use them.
