Homing Waterproof Placemats: Round Table Protection for Every Occasion Review

My husband ruined my latest napkins by trying to round them without asking me first. I've had trouble finding black rugs of this shape again that I can wipe down rather than trying to wash the mats from the fabric rug. I wanted a solid pattern with no holes that would leave crumbs on the table. These meet my requirements. My rectangular mats overlapped and my husband's round ones were too small. As Goldilocks said, you're spot on.

We have enlarged our table with a glass top and these napkins look great on the table thanks to the curved underside. 10 inch plates and cutlery fit nicely on the mats if I move the dinner and salad forks a little. There are no problems with knife and spoon. There is enough space between each mat on the 52-inch round table to place a salad plate and I can put a glass of water on the mat above the spoon. These rugs look very nice and the color was just what I wanted. So what's the problem? First of all, they are very small - there is hardly any space for a plate and dishes, an ordinary glass will not fit. This means, beyond mere aesthetics, spills will inevitably end up on the table, defeating the purpose of a waterproof mat. Second, and perhaps more importantly, stains cannot be removed.
