I had a graphics card with a terrible coil squeak coming through the headphone jack so I got this to get around that. I no longer have to listen to my card yelling at me, and the controls are just as good here. The only thing I don't particularly like is how weak the volume seems to be. Before that, I could run my computer at 30% volume and everything would sound like it was being played at the same volume. With this adapter I have to keep changing the volume from 20% to 100% to make everything sound normal. It's not as uncomfortable and better than hearing a scream but that keeps me from giving it 5 stars.
